Event:  Sunday School
Date:  Sun, September 29, 2019 (Recurs Weekly)
Time:  9:45 am
Details:

We offer Sunday School for all ages.

Please join us to study God's Word!

For our children, ages 3–10:

Every week we meet for Sunday School from 9:45am to 10:45am. During this time we work on a craft that ties into our Bible lesson. We also sing songs and learn how to pray for one another.

We meet again when we are dismissed from the morning service for Junior Church. Here we open the Bible so that we can discover all that God wants us to learn about Him, our world and most importantly that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins.

Join us as we explore the following topics in the Fall of 2019:

We have a General Adult Sunday School class and Elective classes, all of which meet on Sunday mornings at 9:45am.

General Class: Rohan Archer will lead a study of the book of Habakkuk: This little book is a record of how the Almighty deals sovereignly with the seeming unchecked wickedness of humanity. However, rather than a simple conveying of a prophetic revelation, it is a divine dialogue between the prophet and God as the man wrestles with the growing wickedness of his nation and its suppression of righteousness. It is an accounting of the honesty and openness of Habakkuk as he pours out his heart before his God and the Sovereign One's reply to his heartache.

Women's Class: The women's class will meet on the third floor for the seven Sundays from Sept. 8 to Oct. 20. Led by various women, some of the topics include Deliverance from being Tortured by your PastPeace Amidst your StormsCourage Amidst your Fears and Contentment Amidst your Temptations.

Men's Elective Class: Pastor Rob is offering a class on Discipleship Essentials. If anyone is interested in Pastor Rob’s class please register with him in advance. You must be willing to do weekly homework and be accountable to other men in the small group. Space is limited to four men, plus Pastor Rob. Two spots are still open and the class will run until late November.

For those interested in becoming members of our church, or learning more about who we are and what we believe, we have a Welcome to Long Branch class which meets in room 304. For more information, and to sign up for this class, please see John Wright.

We also have a Mandarin Sunday School class for our Mandarin speakers. It begins each Sunday at 9:30am.
