Sunday School

We offer Sunday School for all ages

For our children, ages 3–10:

Every week we meet for Sunday School from 9:45am to 10:45am. During this time we work on a craft that ties into our Bible lesson. We also sing songs and learn how to pray for one another.

We meet again when we are dismissed from the morning service for Junior Church. Here we open the Bible so that we can discover all that God wants us to learn about Him, our world and most importantly that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins.

All are welcome to join us!

For adults, we have two classes on Sunday mornings at 9:45am:

A women's class studying the Book of John which meets in Room 307. For more information please see Vera Archer. Please note that this class will not be running in January and February of 2017!

For January and Februrary, Ruth Barrett will be leading a class on "Reaching Muslims for Christ". Please contact Ruth for more information.

A General Adult Sunday School Class which meets in the Fellowship Room:
We will be studying the books of 1 & 2 Thessalonians. Join us as we walk with the apostle Paul as he lovingly cares for and encourages the young Thessalonian Church in their growing Faith. Together, we will explore:

  • Paul's conferring upon them the blessings of God’s grace and peace to help them to endure suffering and loss because they chose to follow Jesus as Lord.
  • The believer’s growth that comes from a genuine and true faith as the Holy Spirit transforms each one into the image of Jesus Christ by building godly character and faithful obedience in them.
  • The believer’s security that is anchored in their eternal position in God and Christ.
  • The believer’s hope that is founded in the imminent and expectant return of the Lord, Jesus Christ for his Elected Ones.

We will also see the father-heart of the apostle toiling to nurture and protect the young Church from spiritual predators, his struggles to return to them, his encouragement and excitement to see them growing in Christ and his effort to protect them. For more information please see Rohan Archer.

For those interested in becoming members of our church, or learning more about who we are and what we believe, we have a Welcome to Long Branch class which meets in room 304. For more information, and to sign up for this class, please see John Wright.

We also have a Mandarin Sunday School class for our Mandarin speakers. It begins each Sunday at 9:30am.
